Visa Information:
All visitors except the national must hold passport and
valid visa. Visa can be obtained at the Nepalese
diplomatic missions and consulates. Visa is also issued
at the entry points. Visa can be extended at the
Departure of immigration, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Children under 10 years need not pay any fee. Two
passport size photos are essential. The visa fee US$ 30
for single entry and US$ 50 for multiple entries.
Business visa (with multiple entry) can be obtained
from the Departure of Immigration for the period of the
year or five years upon the recommendation of the
Ministry of Industry by paying the equivalent of US$ 100
and US$ 250 respectively in Nepalese currency for the
foreign investors.
Airport Tax:
NRs. 1100 per person for departure to other
international destinations. NRs. 777 per person for
departure to SAARC (South Asian} Countries: Bangladesh,
Bhutan, India, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri-Lanka, for
domestic flight: those flying within Nepal are required
to pay NRs.165 and NRs. 100 in urban areas and NRs. 150
per person in case of flying by helicopter.
Nepalese Currency:
The name of Nepal's currency is Nepali Rupee whose
notes come in Rs. 1, Rs. 2, Rs. 5, Rs. 10, Rs, 20, Rs.
25, Rs. 50, Rs. 100, Rs, 250, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000
denominations. Foreign currency must be exchanged
through the banks or through authorized foreign exchange
dealers. The receipts from such transactions are to be
obtained and retained by the visitors other then Indian
nationals. They have to make their payments in Hotels,
Travels agencies, Trekking agencies Air tickets in
convertible foreign currency only.

Yen and most of other.
